Agassi and Sampras still going at it
This little exchange took place during a charity match on Friday night. Old timers Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras teamed up with current stars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to raise money for Haiti relief efforts. Pretty funny stuff if you ask me. Sampras imitates Agassi (perfectly), Andre responds by calling Sampras a bad tipper (which he did previously in his book), Pete hits a serve at Agassi's head and references his baggage (doing crystal meth, wearing a wig, etc). Great stuff. The crowd clearly enjoyed it and attributed it to "all in good fun." But you could clearly see the tension on the faces of Agassi and Sampras as they went at it.
I've read multiple articles criticizing the two tennis legends for their behavior. My question is: Who cares? The crowd loved it, and they managed to raise over $1 million for Haiti relief. Who cares if their was some tension and feelings got hurt? (Agassi has since apologized). They put on a show and raised a lot of money for a good cause. Win-win.
